Dave was born in January 1981 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He grew up in the Sugarhouse area, more specifically in Wasatch Hollow.
Dave has lived most of his life in Salt Lake City.
Dave is the 5th child in his family with two older brothers and two older sisters. About 9 years later two younger brothers came along.
Sadly, in 2022 our youngest brother died by suicide, leaving behind not just his parents and siblings but also two beautiful daughters.
In February of 2014 Dave’s greatest piece of art was born.
His beautiful daughter, his best friend.
She lives out of state but they
talk, facetime and see each other every chance they get.
Dave loves the freedom his painting gives him. He tends to be a perfectionist, but he can only control so much of how each painting turns out.
He can choose his colors, have a design in mind and then he has to allow himself to mentally and emotionally ‘let go’.
That is the ‘freeing’ part, he gets to watch what the painting does on its own.

Who was once bitten by a rattle snake. After 5 excruciating days the rattle snake died.
